The Hermit shows an old man with a wasteland in the background, carrying a staff in his left hand and a lantern in the right hand. Notice the six pointed star in the lantern, which is a symbol of wisdom.
Fun Fact: The Hermit is referred to as The Sage, The Monk or Time in some Tarot decks.
Upright Position: one's path in life, staying the course, introspection, spiritual awareness, wisdom
Reversed Position: loneliness, isolation, being off course or off your path in life
