I have made the decision to no longer update this blog as often as I was. I have discontinued the features on the blog due to the amount of time they took up. :(
Previously, I was advertising this blog on Fiverr on my profile and in my gig deliveries. I didn't realize this was against the terms of service since I was not selling anything outside of Fiverr - I was only referring people to my Fiverr gigs. Well, long story short....I got reprimanded lol. So I can no longer tell my Fiverr clients about my blog.
This is disappointing because my train of thought is that if something were to happen to Fiverr (if it went bankrupt, the company was sold, etc.) then how would my clients reach me? I would have to just rely on them googling me I suppose. :) There's nothing I can do about that now.
So I can still refer clients from HERE to Fiverr, but not the other way around. I hope that makes sense! So what does that mean for this blog? For my Fiverr business? Here's a few key points...
- I can no longer refer clients from Fiverr to this blog. However I CAN still refer clients from this blog to Fiverr (if I choose to - I am undecided on that as of now).
- I can offer special readings and spell castings, healings and cleansings here on this blog at ANY price I choose. I don't have to stay within the confines of Fiverr's $5 gig system. I will always offer my services at a low cost on Fiverr - don't worry - this just allows me to offer even more services that I previously couldn't because I simply could not do those things for only $5.
- I can no longer offer blog specials to my Fiverr clients because there really isn't a system in place for me to do so effectively.
So with all that in mind, here are some upcoming changes you can expect both on this blog AND on Fiverr from me....
- On Fiverr, I will now be offering discounts to my clients who order multiple gigs with extras. I will be doing this on a case by case basis. The more you order (in $ amounts) the more of a discount I can offer you. For example, if you order a $5 reading with a $10 extra and you also order a $5 spell casting with a $10 extra (total $30 value) then I may discount that down to $25...or even $20...depending on how long you've been a client and how many orders you have placed in the past, feedback you've left me, etc. It will be up to my discretion as to how much of a discount you will receive. I cannot offer discounts on multiple gig purchases of only $5 (with no extras). Exceptions would be if you were going to order A LOT - like 10 or more spells or something like that, I would consider it then.
- The catch to the above is....you have to contact me BEFORE placing your order so that I can send you a custom offer with the discount. As of now Fiverr doesn't have any other system in place for offering specials or discounts. There's no way to give someone a coupon code, for example. There's no way to discount an order after it's been placed by giving a partial refund. There really just aren't a lot of options there. I am going to change the wording of my gig deliveries for some gigs, to alert clients of this option for future orders.
- On this blog, I will no longer be doing the Ask a Psychic feature or the Tarot Tuesday's feature. I really wish I had time to do it - and maybe someday I will again, but as of now I just don't, unfortunately.
- I will begin offering additional services on this blog which will be at a higher cost. These will be "high end" services that I can't offer on Fiverr due to the time and cost involved - it simply wouldn't be worth it if I had to offer it on Fiverr with the 20% cut they take. For these services, I will be able to accept PayPal.
- I will continue to update this blog periodically with specials or discounts, new gig offerings, etc. and you can sign up (on the right) to receive an email everytime I update the blog.
- I am also planning to start a mailing list. As my business grows, I'm more and more concerned with "losing all my clients" if something were to happen to Fiverr. You may or may not realize this, but this is my full time job. I am blessed enough to make a full time income doing this - and like anyone else, I worry about the stability and longevity of my "job" and potential loss of income. For this reason, it's only smart for me to have an additional way for clients to contact me so that they can still receive services from me.
- I am looking into additional 'platforms' (Etsy for example) to promote my services on. It's best not to have all your eggs in one basket afterall. :) More info on this when I make some decisions.
- Finally, on Fiverr...I will be deleting some under-performing gigs and replacing them with new gigs. I have been working on a few things for a few months now, for the new year. Don't worry - if your favorite gig suddenly disappears, you can ALWAYS custom order it and in most cases, for the same price it always was (there will be exceptions).
I think that's about it (sorry it was so long!!). My mantra for this year is "Out with the old, In with the new!". I made some lifestyle changes last year and continue to make some this year. I don't want to lose momentum now! :) So yes, there will be changes - but mostly positive ones! The only negative is really that I am discontinuing some of the weekly/biweekly blog posts.
