Every Tuesday, I will be highlighting a different Tarot card from the Rider Waite tarot deck! This week's card is.....
The High Priestess is meant to symbolize the feminine presence of the divine which dwells within us. She is shown sitting on her throne with a scroll that reads TORA (Torah). The letters B and J stand for Boaz and Jachin, of the mystic Temple of Solomon.
Fun Fact: The motif on the veil behind The High Priestess is the same motif that is found on The Empress' dress - they are actually sisters!
Upright Position: intuition, psychic gifts, mystery, the subconscious
Reversed Position: hidden agendas, lack of spiritual awareness
